Trixie Belden Fan Fiction

I admit it.  I’m a fan, always have been.  I grew up reading Trixie Belden.  Oh, how I loved my TBs, to such an extent they literally fell apart in my hands over the years.  Now covered in duct tape and fingerprints, my TBs still occupy a place of honor upon the shelves of my living room.

My brothers used to tease me, saying I was destined to become a detective one day just like my beloved Trixie.  Of course, we all knew there wasn’t a chance of that.  From the time I entered kindergarten, I knew that one day I would be the one standing at the front of the room, teaching and making all the rules.

I used to imagine myself reading Trixie to my students – I just knew that they would beg to hear about Trixie’s latest adventure!  Unfortunately, my students tend to have the attention span of a gnat.  That is to say, they have very little patience for Clifford the Big Red Dog, let alone for huge chapter books about the schoolgirl shamus.  I suppose this probably has to do with the fact that I chose to teach kindergartners.

Alas, given that I am unable to read my beloved Trixies to the next generation, I have had to find another outlet for my Trixie obsession, and I found that outlet in…

FAN FICTION!

Yes, you heard it here first… M.J. Smith, kindergarten teacher extraordinaire, is also Amy Lucas, author of Trixie Belden fan fiction.  So, if you too are a Trixie Belden fan, get ready to read Trixie and the Bob-Whites of the Glen as you’ve never read them before.   And now, without further ado…
